Dabond UV 

Dabond is a continuous filament high tenacity Bonded Polyester sewing thread. It is high UV resistance properties making it an excellent thread for outdoor use. Dabond is a thread for sail making and has been synonymous with this end use worldwide.

The Coats Barbour process ensures that dabond has exceptional bond cohesion giving it excellent sewing properties even in the toughest of conditions.

Terko 

Terko Satin Polyester / Cotton Core Spun is a hard polished thread which has been designed for particularly severe sewing processes such as stitching of upholstery and car trim, where long seams are commonplace.

Sizes available – Metric 8,12, 20, 25, 36

Profilen  

Coats Profilen is the new sewing thread for outdoor applications.  It is made from 100% PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene).

Being made from PTFE, it is totally inert to attack by sunlight (UV) and chemicals.  This product is so durable that the manufacturer of the fibre guarantees it and will replace Profilen thread that fails in the seam due to UV or chemical attack. For the lifetime of the job, and its in writing.

Profilen’s chemical structure has another unique benefit – only one colour is needed for dark fabrics, and one colour for light fabrics.  The thread is translucent and takes on the colour of the stitched fabric.

Profilen is used where high seam integrity is required for prolonged periods.  It has excellent sewing ability and excellent abrasion resistance.
